Mortise and tenon frame from pine with oak peg, pine top and lower shelf. Frame and bottom shelf are completed in white paint, distressed.

\nReclaimed Wood Tabletops are stained using raw Tung oil diluted with citrus oil. Tung oil is plant derived and it is FDA approved food grade. Citrus oil is pressed from orange peels and compliments the Tung oil while helps it to penetrate the wood. Raw Tung oil soaks in the wood and it takes 8-10 hours between coats. It takes on average 3-4 coats of Tung oil to saturate the wood. While the Tung oil is curing we hand paint the frame and shelves with organic milk paint. One coat grey and two coats of white with 8 hours in between coats.
\nIt can take between 30-40 hours to complete a piece of our furniture. While it seems a lot we wouldn\u2019t do it any other way. Of course, processed can be automated and machines can be involved to produce parts, but it will take away from authenticity and uniqueness. Hand fitting and finishing our furniture guarantee each product is unique. Sure, they have all 4 legs and use same color stain and paint, but when are handmade they have their very own individual unique appearance and unmatched character.

\nAll of our furniture is finished with environmentally-friendly, non-toxic, NO VOC paint that\u2019s versatile and easy to use. Made from 100% organic material, it\u2019s safe for kids, pets, friend and family.
\nOur table tops, frames and bed frames are coated with Pure Tung Oil. The Tung oil we use is All natural, food safe, with a flat finish. FDA approved for food contact. The Tung Oil, is a pure oil that comes without any additives or distillates and together with the milk paint makes our furniture safe and eco friendly.<\/p>\n
Pure Tung oil takes 7-10 days to partially cure and 15-30 day to fully cure. After it is fully cured (for your order it will be about 3 weeks)
\nyou can use mild detergent as \u201cIvory Dish Soup\u201d or \u201cSimple Green\u201d will work too. Stay away from oil based cleaners and ammonia.
\nUse a damp soft lint free cloth and avoid abrasion.
\nFor fixing accidental scratches and dents on the stained table top and shelves:
\n– lightly sand the area of the scratch and the dent
\n– apply the supplied Tung oil with soft, lint free rag at the area the scratch and the dent.
\n– leave it to dry for 30-40 minutes
\n– wipe out any area of Tung oil that have not soaked in
\n– repeat as needed to match the color of the top or the shelf.<\/p>\n
